After a long period of dormancy, I've finally got round to creating some more of my 80s bangers-meets-classic car greetings cards pieces.
The main theme for my current body of work is the humble Austin/Rover/MG Montego, a fleet-fodder family saloon built in Birmingham from 1984-1995. I want to bring some attention to this fine, underrated, forgotten and unloved British car. Depicted here is the original-spec MG-badged 2.0 litre model from 1984, in MG Flame Red. Am pleased with how this turned out, considering the materials at my disposal were some shoddy 'Artists' crayons which refused to blend and layer, so it's a little faded. Please note that all my latest uploads are enhanced photos so are representations, I shall replace them with scanned originals as soon as. Thanks  |
